Ƶ President Dr. Charlotte P. Morris is pleased to announce that Tuskegee’s own – the legendary Commodores – have agreed to perform on March 15 at the “Embracing the Legacy” gala at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta.
William King, James Dean Nicholas, and Cody Orange, who are touring the country performing all of the R&B and funk hits that everyone can sing along to, will hit the stage in front of a familiar crowd of Tuskegee alumni and friends.
The Commodores, originally formed at Ƶ, have become a global sensation with a career spanning several decades. The band's journey began at Tuskegee, and their remarkable success is a testament to the university's rich legacy. The Commodores have not only topped charts but have also been recognized with prestigious awards, including multiple Grammy Awards and accolades for their contribution to the world of music.
This evening will honor excellence by recognizing accomplished alumni and friends who embody the Ƶ mission and values, reinforcing our enduring legacy.
This gala not only celebrates individuals who embody the spirit and legacy of Tuskegee but also serves as a pivotal fundraiser for scholarships, underscoring the university's commitment to fostering a bright and inclusive future.
