Ƶ Homecoming Grand Marshal and Convocation Speaker Sinclair Skinner and the undergraduate brothers of Gamma Epsilon chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi donated a top-of-the-line golf cart to the Athletics Department this week.
“The inspiration came from chapter brother and Tuskegee alum James Rice and former SGA President Tearod Robertson,” Skinner said. “We are truly grateful for this priceless, full-circle moment.”
Skinner, who will enjoy the parade Saturday as Grand Marshal, will offer inspiration at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday in the Ƶ Chapel as the Convocation guest speaker.
Recognized by Time magazine as one of “The Power Players” in cryptocurrency, Skinner is considered one of the most influential figures in the Bitcoin space.
Skinner said it’s very important to support the university in this way because “we are the true beneficiaries of the Tuskegee dream. Many faculty, staff and administrators give their lives to TU, we all have ways to give.”
When looking at legacy building, Skinner said Tuskegee provided the foundation for him to have transformative relationships and experiences. He said Booker T. Washington’s message of collective self-determination training the hands, heart and head and understanding the true character is everything.
