In an effort to offer greater availability of Ƶ-branded apparel and merchandise for its alumni and fans, the university has partnered with its on-campus bookstore partner, Follett, to launch .
Beginning Friday, Sept. 6, the online storefront, operated by Follett On-Demand, gives Tuskegee alumni, students, employees and fans access to hundreds of clothing, drinkware, gifts, pet accessories, tailgating supplies and other Golden Tiger spirit gear.
“Our alumni and fans have been eager for a one-stop-shop for all their crimson and gold gear. Thanks to our expanded partnership with Follett On-Demand, is going to make purchasing Ƶ merchandise extremely easy — no matter where you live and no matter the type of merchandise you’re shopping for,” said Michael Tullier, APR, senior director of the university’s Office of Communications, Public Relations and Marketing.
In conjunction with the online store’s launch, customers can benefit from a 25 percent discount on T-shirts through Oct. 5. Following this “grand opening” promotion, the university and Follett On-Demand will be making additional discounts for alumni available — in addition to regularly scheduled special promotions, discounts and sales throughout the year.
The site features popular apparel brands like Adidas, Columbia and Under Armour, as well as “on-demand” opportunities to design your own shirts by combining your preferred style, color and university logo.
Another option that Tullier expects will be a hit among sports fans is the ability to design your own custom jersey — giving fans the ability to pick a two-digit number of their choice and have their name appear on the back.
Purchases typically ship within 24 hours. Visitors to the site will see options in the navigation bar to sign up for promotions, as well as to make suggestions for merchandise not currently available in the store.
All merchandise sold through the Follett On-Demand store is officially licensed through Ƶ’s partnership with CLC, also known as Collegiate Licensing Company. CLC works with university like Tuskegee to protect, preserve and maintain both the integrity and long-term brand value of collegiate trademarks. Manufacturers and retailers wishing to learn more about using the university’s trademarks, its licensing procedures, or current licensees can visit .
