Ƶ to Bring Out Stars for 100th Homecoming Celebration and Football Game “White Out”

Ƶ is proud to announce the details of its 100th Homecoming celebration culminating on Nov. 9 with a gridiron battle against Miles College. Entertainment during the week will include a three-time Grammy R&B nominee Kem for the alumni concert, and the students will enjoy a performance by a Grammy nominee for Best Rap Performer GloRilla.

As part of the celebration, the university is encouraging everyone attending the game to participate in the “White Out” wearing the newly designed T-shirts with the centennial logo available online and in the bookstore. A portion of sales of 100th Homecoming items will go toward the university’s endowment, supporting a legacy of student scholarship.

“This year’s theme is ‘100 Years of Investing in Homecoming – The Tuskegee Way!’ and the university is encouraging all alumni and friends to join us in the historic celebration and support the White Out by buying shirts available  or the ,” said Dr. Mark A. Brown, President and CEO. “All of these efforts, in addition to your presence at the game or a concert, will support our students and help mark a centennial Homecoming celebration Tuskegee students and alumni deserve.”

GloRilla will perform at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6 in Chappie James Arena. This year, "" and "” (with ), both peaked within the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. Tickets for GloRilla are available now at . They are $50 for students with Tuskegee IDs and $75 for nonstudents.

Kem will perform Friday, Nov. 8 in Chappie James Arena. Kem wrote, produced, and financed his self-released debut album, , with his American Express card and by singing top 40 cover tunes in a wedding band and waiting tables. He released his fifth album, Love Always Wins, with includes “Lie to Me” and “Live Out Your Love” featuring Toni Braxton. Tickets and additional details will be available online later this week. Kem tickets will be available online Thursday.

In addition to about 50 former Miss Tuskegee queens returning to campus for the game, the university will host the coronation on Thursday, Nov. 7 in Chappie James Arena.  The Step Show will be Saturday night also in Chappie James Arena.

“As we move closer toward the university’s centennial Homecoming celebration, I can’t help but remember how excited I was for my first Homecoming as a freshman at Tuskegee,” said Dr. Brown. “This celebration will mark my first leading the university I love and a milestone in our history, so we are rolling out a red carpet that our students, alumni and friends will remember.”
