The Ƶ Cooperative Extension Program maintains a rich tradition of serving limited-resource and underserved audiences by bringing cutting-edge solutions to 21st century problems throughout Alabama — but especially in the state’s Black Belt region. It focuses its work through a network of county agents, resource specialists and faculty on global food security; natural resource conservation, environmental sustainability and climate change; community resource development; family, home and youth; nutrition and wellness; and food systems and food safety.
