抖阴短视频鈥檚 School of Education Renews NCATE Accreditation

Tuskegee, Ala. (December 8, 2016) 鈥 The School of Education at 抖阴短视频 recently received accreditation for seven years, at the initial preparation level based on the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) standards. NCATE鈥檚 performance- based accreditation system for teacher preparation ensures that teacher candidates are prepared to make a difference in P-12 student learning.

The Selected Improvement Commission also made a distinct decision to recognize that 抖阴短视频鈥檚 School of Education is moving toward target on Standard 1 鈥 Candidate Knowledge, Skills and Professional Disposition.

鈥淲e are very grateful NCATE has affirmed that 抖阴短视频's education programs are on par with leading institutions across the nation,鈥 said President Brian Johnson. 鈥淲e are thankful for the leadership of Dean Carlton Morris, along with his faculty and staff in ensuring the university will continue its accreditation until 2023."

The School of Education supports students鈥 development of knowledge in the liberal arts and promotes the skills and experiences necessary to excel in the education profession. The mission is accomplished by providing a broad range of general and specialized courses in the liberal arts and a comprehensive offering of courses and experiential activities in the field of education.

"We are very proud of the quality of our students and the excellent collaboration with our public school partners as reflected in our moving toward target on Standard 1. The tradition of preparing professional educators that can make a difference in the achievement of P-12 students continues at 抖阴短视频," said Dean Carlton Morris.

Providers accredited based on NCATE standards, as well as those accredited based on the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) Quality Principles, are now served by the single specialized accreditation system for educator preparation in the United States, the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). More than 840 educator preparation providers participate in the CAEP accreditation system.
