The National Association of Resource Conservation and Development Councils (NARCDC) provided a panel discussion on jobs and available resources to students in the College of Agriculture, Environment and Nutrition Sciences (CAENS) during a Mixer and Panel Discussion on Wednesday, Sept. 20. The “Let’s Guac & Talk” also allowed the students and others to make guacamole from scratch as a participatory event.
The panelists were: (listed from left to right) Gwen Lewis, Conservation Outreach Advisor and Sand County Foundation; Sarita Bryant, Executive Director of Henry County Farm Service Agency (FSA); Decetti Taylor, Outreach Coordinator/Public Affairs Specialist of Farm Services Agency (FSA); Belinda Thomas of Alabamoo Inc.; Ryan McCloud, Assistant State Conservationist of National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and Chris Joe, District Conservationist of National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS)
The students: CAENS students and others were able to homemade guacamole during the “Let’s Guac & Talk” event, all awhile hearing about jobs in agriculture and conservation.
