Ƶ’s Integrative Public Policy and Development (IPPD) Doctorate candidate Lucy Asare-Baah is a U. S. Department of Agriculture’s Economic Research Service Farm Foundation Fellows. She is one of 15 applied or agricultural economics students to join the year-long program.
The year- long program will feature events and projects to inspire and train the next generation including a mentorship with ERS senior analyst, a research project, ag- focus forums and meetings, and the Farm Foundation Round Table. The students will also take part in the World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) “lock-up” Session.
As an IPPD candidate, Lucy’s research interest includes reduction of postharvest losses among vegetable growers in the US and rural farmers in the Global South, as well as farm policies for agricultural landholders in the United States.
