Research Summary

Dr. Fall’s research is focused on the application of Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, and climate data analysis to investigate various aspects of climate variability and change. His work includes:

  • Temperature and Equivalent Temperature trends and variability
  • Trends in extreme climatic events (historical and future), and their predictability with large-scale circulation patterns
  • Detection of climate change hotspots
  • Impacts of land use/cover on near-surface climate
  • Social aspects of climate change
  • Climate Vulnerability Assessments and Health Vulnerability Assessments
  • Environmental Justice
