Intellectual Property Transfer Committee

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ, as an institution of higher learning and intellectual endeavors, has as one of its primary functions the continual search for new knowledge in fields in which the university community is active. The University views research by its faculty and within its own community as an important path to the discovery knowledge and its definition informs most useful to the University and the community it serves. ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ recognizes the creativity of its faculty, staff and students in research, intellectual pursuits.

The Intellectual Property Committee is the decision-making body that meets on a monthly basis to review all new invention disclosures and evaluate them in with respect to the following: development status; intellectual property status; market potential; market maturity; and competing technologies.

The Intellectual Property Committee regular scheduled meeting date is the last Wednesday of each month except December. All applications must be submitted a minimum of 10 working days before the committee's regular scheduled meeting. Any invention disclosure form submitted after that deadline is generally reviewed in next month's Intellectual meeting.  Disclosures received by 4:30 p.m. on the dealine date will be considered for discussion at Intellectual Property Committee meeting that month. Otherwise, it will be reviewed the next month.
